Kyrgyzstan exported 14 tons of gold to China last year. This was announced at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee on the fuel and energy complex and subsoil use by representatives of the State Customs Service.
According to them, 71 percent of gold ore mined in the country is sent to China. “In 2018, 19.3 thousand tons of ore were exported, in 2019 - 20.3 thousand tons. Last year, customs duties amounted to 4.7 million soms,” said representatives of the GTS.
In total, 2 435 licenses for mining operations were issued in the Kyrgyz Republic. Of these, 469 - for the exploration of gold, 104 - for the extraction of precious metal.
