In 2019, Tajikistan signed 7 investment agreements involving domestic and foreign investments, according to which 8 new production enterprises will be created: for the production of confectionery in Rudaki, cement in Dushanbe and in the Jaloliddin Balkhi region and others. About 2.4 billion somoni will be allocated for their implementation.
According to Khamralizoda, the number of existing state investment projects in Tajikistan for January 1, 2020 reached 65. Their total amount exceeds 32 billion somoni, 16.9 billion somoni (52.6%) of this sum are loan funds, 13, 6 billion somoni (42.4%) - grants, 1.4 billion somoni (4.4%) - the contribution of the government of Tajikistan. As part of existing projects, 3.16 billion somoni have already been disbursed.
According to the State Property Committee, in 2019, foreign investments in the amount of about $ 346 million were received in Tajikistan, which is 6% more than in 2019. In terms of direct investments in 2019, China leads in the Tajik economy - $ 262.3 million. The volume of Russian direct investments amounted to $ 33.1 million. The share of Turkish investments in the Tajik economy amounted to $ 13.5 million.
